Mystery of the Missing Research

Some years ago something happened and I decided to change my life. I gave up most of my business in order to be a historian, which I had always dreamed of becoming. I thought I would be able to focus on this completely if I could just find success. In fact, success was not the problem at all, but financially, I was unable to survive from the income that freelance historical research pays.

Suddenly I needed, in addition, a simple part-time job to support myself. I found a job as a secretary at the local university, which I thought would be easy. I wasn’t looking for any kind of career – I already had that. Just something to get me by and pay the health insurance contributions. What happened to me there was strange and inexplicable, and I felt helpless to oppose it. It made me terribly sad. This story is about that period in my life. The posts below are episodes of that story.
